There was no sign of Guy Fawkes night in Krabi which, considering how readily the Thais embrace pretty much every much every other festival from England, is pretty surprising. Especially as they love loud bangs and flashes.

Not much happened today. In the evening, Noot invited us to join her and her friends at a coffee shop. It was a very Thai affair with music played too loud, lots of mosquitoes and serving instant coffee.

This blog was originally supposed to be A Year in the Life of a TEFL Teacher. I was going to go to Thailand, have a good time, keep a diary and - 12 months later, I would have a book. So I did – but there was little to do with TEFL teaching in it. Instead, Thai girls with all their exotic beauty, sexuality and deception hijacked it and were the main subject. Well, guess you could say it was partly/mostly my own fault... But who cares? It is the journey, not the destination that counts…

Several years later and finances have forced me back to the UK. This blog has continued to follow my attempts at teaching English as a second language here and also to preview my first novel Nowhere Children Inc.
