Now in Bangkok and staying at the White Lodge. A spotless room with air-con and attached bathroom with hot water costs 400baht – half the price of the Wendy House down the road. My Lonely Planet guidebook was obviously wrong about Wendy House being cheaper.

About this blog

This blog was originally supposed to be A Year in the Life of a TEFL Teacher. I was going to go to Thailand, have a good time, keep a diary and - 12 months later, I would have a book. So I did – but there was little to do with TEFL teaching in it. Instead, Thai girls with all their exotic beauty, sexuality and deception hijacked it and were the main subject. Well, guess you could say it was partly/mostly my own fault... But who cares? It is the journey, not the destination that counts…

Several years later and finances have forced me back to the UK. This blog has continued to follow my attempts at teaching English as a second language here and also to preview my first novel Nowhere Children Inc.
