30 something English teacher

The blog of a 30 something ESL teacher. It might not at first seem rational - but it is.

Hanoi Social Club

Hanoi Social Club
A place where Social means
That it helps society
In this case, they help people
From disadvantaged backgrounds
And train them to become exceptional chefs and waiting staff
And the result is,
Some of the best vegan food
In south East Asia.

About this blog

This blog was originally supposed to be A Year in the Life of a TEFL Teacher. I was going to go to Thailand, have a good time, keep a diary and - 12 months later, I would have a book. So I did – but there was little to do with TEFL teaching in it. Instead, Thai girls with all their exotic beauty, sexuality and deception hijacked it and were the main subject. Well, guess you could say it was partly/mostly my own fault... But who cares? It is the journey, not the destination that counts…

Several years later and finances have forced me back to the UK. This blog has continued to follow my attempts at teaching English as a second language here and also to preview my first novel Nowhere Children Inc.
